"I might not be the best student, but Holly-sensei is the best foreign language teacher I have ever had. In high school, I took German for 2 semesters. In college, I took 2 semesters of Spanish. I have also tried (unsuccessfully) to teach myself Spanish, Russian, Japanese, French, and Italian (using a little green bird). All that is to say, I haven’t have much success in learning foreign languages- until now.
I have decided that Japanese might be harder, but it is so much more satisfying and fun when you have a teacher who knows what they are doing and can help you find even more productive ways to study. Holly-sensei’s lessons flow well, and when I get stuck in my head for words, or even when I am having trouble finding the way to word a question, she is there to help me and pull me back into the lesson.
